In a recent interview, we spoke with Ben Gallegos, Owner of Pinnacle Mobile Therapy and new cliniCONNECTS user. Ben was looking for software that would improve efficiencies and reduce overall costs so that his business could continue to grow. Pinnacle Mobile Therapy is branching out and scaling by shifting from a business-to-business model to a business-to-customer one. During this shift, Ben started looking for what might help him make strategic changes and found cliniCONNECTS.

Ben and his team are currently in the process of implementing cliniCONNECTS. This means they are consolidating from the old model of using an EMR system, spreadsheets, and paper and online maps to his EMR system and cliniCONNECTS.

This shift removes the labor involved in figuring out which maps go to which therapist, printing them out, and determining whom to assign to which patient. Then, the texting back and forth with each therapist in the appropriate service area.

All this manual work takes time, and Ben has found that referral agencies want a rapid response. With cliniCONNECTS, he hopes to build faster turnaround times through automation instead of manual labor.
My goal is to improve efficiencies while reducing overhead costs and maintaining viability. With cliniCONNECTS, we hope to allow therapists more access to patients and strengthen contractor engagement.

Additionally, we would like to reduce the office staff time it takes to find a therapist to cover a patient. This will improve our response time to referring agencies and increase the number of referrals we can offer a therapist, so we can take on more customers and provide more opportunities to therapists.

We always ask interviewees, “What criteria did you use when determining whether or not to go with cliniCONNECTS?”

Often, clients do not recall the exact circumstances because they’ve been using cliniCONNECTS for a while, and things are working well. However, because Ben has just begun using our software, we had a unique opportunity to get an on-the-ground response to this question. Here’s what Ben said:
The first criterion was the ease of use for my office staff and clinicians. The second, and almost more important, is the functionality of it. What can it allow us to do? Will it integrate with my payroll and EMR? Will it give me recruitment information and show me where there are opportunities to which I should dedicate resources? cliniCONNECTS does all of these things.

Additionally, when describing his hunt for the right software for his mobile therapy business, Ben shared:

It took a while before I chose which route I would go. With cliniCONNECTS, I liked the owner, Shachar’s response time, and the deep, all-encompassing app. There’s a lot to the software, which is great. All the others I looked into were really basic, with just a map and without all of the additional features that cliniCONNECTS offers.
